Do you have an idea you would like to see come to reality? Crowdfunding is a popular way for seeking monetary pledges to help fund projects. Popular Science has teamed with RocketHub to create the #CrowdGrant Challenge.
They’re looking for the best and brightest ideas in science and technology. Submit your ideas to the #Crowdfunding Challenge before June 15 to be considered. Popular Science will then judge the submissions and pick the ideas they find most innovative.
The handpicked finalists will have their idea put on RocketHub’s crowdfunding website. You will then have 45 days to raise funds for your project. If you don’t reach your goal, you will still be able to keep the funds you raise.
I definitely recommend checking out RocketHub’s Success School , as well as Best Practices in Crowdfunding, to help you prepare your campaign for judging and launching if your project is one of the lucky few selected for the #CrowdGrant Challenge.
The first issue of Popular Science was published in 1872. Their delivery of information about science and technology is read by millions. Between the Popular Science website, issues of the magazine, and increased tablet users, your project (if picked) could be seen by a multitude of potential investors.
They have also given the name #CrowdGrant Challenge to help spread the word about projects chosen. Use #CrowdGrant to tag
So put your thinking caps on and get to brainstorming! Let us know in the comments below if you plan to join the challenge and keep us updated. If you’re picked to launch your project, Tekkek might decide to promote your crowdfunding project too.
